The focus is on working at the ballet barre or on the mat, where control, stability, and posture become noticeable in every movement. Through targeted micro-movements and static holding positions, you train muscles that you hardly use in everyday life - for defined lines, improved balance, and an upright, graceful posture.

What exactly is barre?

Barre is a dynamic full-body workout inspired by ballet, Pilates, and functional strength training. You train with small, precise movements and a high number of repetitions to improve posture, strength, and balance — accompanied by motivating music.

Do I need dance or ballet experience for barre?

No, not at all! Barre is a fitness concept that is inspired by ballet but does not require any dance experience. All exercises are easy to understand and suitable for every fitness level. Our trainers will show you different variations so that you can train at your own pace — even if you have no background in ballet.

What should I bring to the barre workout?

Please bring a water bottle (no glass bottles) and a towel, and wear comfortable clothing (e.g., leggings and a top) that allows you to move freely. We train with non-slip socks or studio socks. All other training equipment, such as mats, balls, or bands, will of course be provided for you in the studio.

Is barre also suitable for beginners?

Yes, barre is also suitable for beginners. Our classes include clear options for adjusting the intensity so that you can train safely and effectively. Our barre fitness is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their posture, strength, endurance, and flexibility — even without any dance experience. It's the perfect complement to Pilates/yoga or as an introduction to an aesthetic, effective workout.

Can I do barre workouts while pregnant or as a new mother?

No, barre workouts are not suitable for pregnant women or new mothers. The class includes many standing exercises, work on the ball, and intensive abdominal and core training—all of which place too much strain on the body during pregnancy or in the early postnatal recovery phase. For safety reasons, participation is therefore not permitted during this time. Once you have fully recovered, you are welcome to join again.
