Pilates

Discover the transformative power of Pilates - a gentle yet highly effective training method that strengthens both body and mind. Pilates is ideal for anyone who wants to tone their body, improve their posture, strengthen their muscles, increase flexibility, and develop a conscious awareness of their body.

Pilates is a holistic training method based on slow, controlled movements, conscious breathing, and the activation of deep muscles. The aim is to strengthen the body's center-the “core” consisting of the abdominal, back, and pelvic floor muscles—stabilize posture, increase mobility, and refine body awareness.

Our Pilates classes are suitable for all levels. Our teachers provide individual guidance, demonstrate variations for different levels of experience, and support you in mindfully developing your strength, balance, and stability.

In our Pilates classes, you will experience how versatile this training method can be. Whether you want to start the day actively and full of energy, strengthen your core in a targeted manner, or focus on your legs and buttocks—with us, you will find the class that suits your body and your rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pilates suitable for beginners?

Yes, absolutely! Pilates is ideal for beginners because the exercises are gentle, controlled, and highly adaptable. Each session can be tailored to your individual fitness level. Our trainers guide you step by step, ensuring you perform the exercises correctly and showing you variations so that you can train safely and progress at your own pace.

What do I need to bring to the Pilates class?

Please bring a water bottle (no glass bottles) and a towel, and wear comfortable clothing (e.g., leggings and a top) that allows you to move freely. We train with non-slip socks or studio socks. All other training equipment, such as mats, balls, or bands, will of course be provided for you in the studio.

Do I need to be flexible to do Pilates?

Not at all! You don't need to be particularly flexible to start Pilates. The exercises are designed to help you build strength, stability, and flexibility step by step. With regular training, you will naturally become more flexible—without pressure, but with mindfulness and enjoyment of movement.

Can I participate if I have back pain or other physical complaints?

Yes, Pilates is generally highly recommended for back problems, as it improves posture, strengthens deep muscles, and relieves pressure on the spine. Please inform your trainer of any problems before the class so that the exercises can be adapted to your individual needs. If you are suffering from acute pain or have a medical diagnosis, please consult your doctor beforehand.

How often should I practice Pilates?

For best results, we recommend 2–3 Pilates sessions per week. However, even one class per week can bring about noticeable changes—you will feel more upright, stronger, and more energetic. It is not the frequency that is crucial, but the regularity: even small, continuous steps make a big difference.

What is the difference between Pilates and yoga?

Pilates and yoga complement each other wonderfully, but differ in their focus. Both promote body awareness, concentration, and breathing. While yoga is more focused on flexibility, stretching, and mindfulness, Pilates emphasizes strengthening the core, precise movements, and controlled stability — for strong posture and better body awareness.

Is music played during the class?

Yes, we play quiet, motivating background music during our Pilates classes. It helps you focus, deepen your breathing, and enjoy the natural flow of movement — calm, pleasant, and never intrusive.
